Oxala house is a hidden gem just a few miles from Houmt Souk. Surrounded by a walled garden, beautifully planted and looked after by the caretaker, Khalid, the villa was spacious and well maintained.
We stayed as two families in the 3 bedroom villa – 4 adults and 3 children, and it had everything we needed. The owner, Zouheir, couldn’t be more helpful, recommending local restaurants & places to see, and providing detailed maps. He was on the end of the phone if we needed him, and Khalid, despite speaking no English, had a heart of gold and would bring his camel and donkey to show the children – they loved him.
I can’t fault it – if you want to escape the ‘all-inclusive’ trap, Oxala House is a must.
